</ul>
<p><strong><span style="font-family: Arial;"><span style="font-size: medium;">Bell&#8217;s Palsy Facial Exercise Series &#8211; Part 5 &#8211; The Exercises</span></span></strong></p>
<p><span style="font-family: Arial;"><span style="font-size: medium;">Now we are all suitably warmed up&#8230;Let us begin.</span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: Arial,sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: medium;">The first things we are going to do may just look like warming everything up again but there is far more in it than that. </span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: Arial,sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: medium;">We are awakening all of our facial muscles and the facial nerve that moves them and doing so in the appropriate way to further their recovery. It also feels very pleasant to do.</span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: Arial,sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: medium;">Begin with you face relaxed </span></span></p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: Arial,sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: medium;"><a href="http://allbellspalsy.info/wp-content/uploads/2010/11/DSCF2104.jpg"><img class="size-medium wp-image-314 alignleft" title="Bell's Palsy Facial Exercises - Begin at rest" src="http://allbellspalsy.info/wp-content/uploads/2010/11/DSCF2104-300x225.jpg" alt="Bell's Palsy picture - facial exercise image 1" width="300" height="225" /></a></span></span><span style="font-family: Arial,sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: medium;"> </span></span></p>
<p style="text-align: center;">
<p style="text-align: center;">
<p style="text-align: center;">
<p style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: Arial,sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: medium;">You can see how my face looks pretty normal but to the discerning eye my mouth is dragged down on my right hand side giving me a characterful sinister, even authoritative look &#8211; “Hollywood hard man” parts, here we come !!!</span></span></p>
<p style="text-align: center;">
<p style="text-align: center;">
<p style="text-align: center;">
<p style="text-align: center;">&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;-</p>
<p><span style="font-family: Arial,sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: medium;"><em><strong>With each of the massaging exercises I have given the facial muscle and the facial nerve that you are activating. I repeated the diagrams from “Medical Stuff” at the end of this chapter.</strong></em></span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: Arial,sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: medium;"><em><strong>For now let&#8217;s just do the exercises and get into the habit of them. Once you can do them without the pictures in front of you then look at the facial diagrams whilst you do them for greater understanding.</strong></em></span></span></p>
<p style="text-align: center;">&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;-</p>
<p><strong><span style="font-family: Arial,sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: medium;">FOREHEAD </span></span></strong></p>

<p style="text-align: center;">
<p style="text-align: center;">
<p style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: Arial,sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: medium;">Using one finger to gently close your eyelid, use another to steady or gently lift your eyebrow at the same time using a scissor action. </span></span></p>

<p><span style="font-family: Arial,sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: medium;">Starting at the bridge of your nose move your fingers outwards, pushing up along your eyebrow and then bring them down and underneath your eye returning to your nose. I have pressed too hard on the photographs. Make those areas move but do not press too hard underneath the eye.</span></span></p>
<p style="text-align: center;">&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;-</p>

<p><span style="font-family: Arial,sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: medium;">With flat palms rub the skin down towards the mouth, ending at the corners of the mouth </span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: Arial,sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: medium;"><strong>NOTE</strong></span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: Arial,sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: medium;">Although the temptation is to massage the muscles upwards in the direction we desire them to go, the opposite its more beneficial, to massage them towards the mouth in the direction the signals will actually move.</span></span></p>
<p style="text-align: center;">&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;-</p>

<p style="text-align: center;">
<p style="text-align: center;">
<p style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: Arial,sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: medium;">With clean fingers obviously, one inside the mouth, one outside, gently give as much of that cheek and lip area a massage.</span></span></p>
<p style="text-align: center;">
<p style="text-align: center;">
<p style="text-align: center;">

<p><span style="font-family: Arial,sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: medium;">It is a cruel irony that this condition had to be called Bell’s Palsy when B and P are 2 of the hardest letters to pronounce.</span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: Arial,sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: medium;">There you have it !!!</span></span></p>

<p><span style="font-family: Arial,sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: medium;">Home made bread !!!</span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: Arial,sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: medium;">There are various dietician’s in the media that bestow high acclaim on consuming “Omega Seeds”. </span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: Arial,sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: medium;">There are no seeds actually called “Omega”. The name relates to a collection of seeds that all contain Omega 3, 6 and/or 9, fatty acids which in differing ways are really good for our overall health.</span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: Arial,sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: medium;">In higher priced packets of these “Omega Seeds” you will find essentially a mix of the following:</span></span></p>
<ul>
<li><span style="font-family: Arial,sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: medium;">Sesame 	seeds</span></span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: Arial,sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: medium;">Sunflower 	seeds</span></span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: Arial,sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: medium;">Pumpkin 	seeds</span></span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: Arial,sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: medium;">Linseeds</span></span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: Arial,sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: medium;">Soya 	nuts </span></span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: Arial,sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: medium;">Pine 	nuts </span></span></li>
</ul>
<p><span style="font-family: Arial,sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: medium;">Written on the side of one highly priced packet:</span></span></p>
<p>“<span style="font-family: Arial,sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: medium;"><em>A nutritious seed mixture that is high in omega-6, high in fibre and rich in vitamin E. An excellent balance of essential nutrients required by the body and a perfect way to support a healthy lifestyle.”</em> Which all sounds good !!! </span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: Arial,sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: medium;">The theory:</span></span></p>
<ul>
<li><span style="font-family: Arial,sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: medium;">What 	is the easiest thing to form a meal around? Bread.</span></span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: Arial,sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: medium;">What is the thing that is eaten in some form every day? Bread.</span></span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: Arial,sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: medium;">Does the bread that you can buy contain tons of goodness? No.</span></span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: Arial,sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: medium;">Is 	it difficult to make bread? No.</span></span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: Arial,sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: medium;">Are 	there rules about what you can throw into a bread recipe? No.</span></span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: Arial,sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: medium;">Hurrah 	!!!</span></span></li>
</ul>
<p><span style="font-family: Arial,sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: medium;">Here is my recipe for a <em><strong>“Bobby&#8217;s Superseeded, Superfibrous, Supertasty Loaf”</strong></em>.  As with its name – It&#8217;s a heck of a mouthful !!!</span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: Arial,sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: medium;">This makes four 2lb loaves. Because of the amount of heavy seeds in the loaves I have NEVER yet got them to rise particularly well, so these are not your “fluffy” loaves. AT ALL.</span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: Arial,sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: medium;">You do only need a few slices though as an addition to a meal and they HAVE TO BE TOASTED. I find them quite dry and inedible otherwise.</span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: Arial,sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: medium;">With all that positivity, I&#8217;ll bet you can&#8217;t wait to try them.</span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: Arial,sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: medium;">Here&#8217;s how&#8230;..</span></span></p>
<ul>
<li><span style="font-family: Arial,sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: medium;">Get 	yourself a large bowl</span></span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: Arial,sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: medium;">Pour 	in a good handful of the following:</span></span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: Arial,sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: medium;">Sesame 	seeds</span></span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: Arial,sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: medium;">Sunflower 	seeds – Cheap to buy if you shop around</span></span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: Arial,sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: medium;">Pumpkin 	seeds – Cheap to buy if you REALLY shop around</span></span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: Arial,sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: medium;">Linseeds 	– Brown ones are really cheap</span></span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: Arial,sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: medium;">Soya 	nuts – shop around to find them in the first place</span></span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: Arial,sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: medium;">pine 	nuts – Never found a cheap source of these yet</span></span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: Arial,sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: medium;"><em>(All of these can, if needed, be found together in a 300g bag for around £3 ($5) and you would need half a bag for this mix topped up with the cheaper linseed, sunflower seeds and pumpkin seeds – They are usually called an Omega Seed Mix)</em></span></span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: Arial,sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: medium;">A 	handful of Wheatbran or wheatgerm or both</span></span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: Arial,sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: medium;">A 	pinch of sea salt</span></span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: Arial,sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: medium;">One 	packet of fast action yeast</span></span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: Arial,sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: medium;">About 	a kilogram (2lbs) of wholemeal stoneground flour or equivalent</span></span></li>
</ul>
<p><span style="font-family: Arial,sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: medium;">Mix all this together thoroughly, then stick the mix in the microwave for 2 minutes to get it warm whilst<strong> </strong>boiling the kettle</span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: Arial,sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: medium;">Get a Pyrex, heat resistant jar, half fill with cold water and add a spoonful of honey to the cold water on a spoon and leave in there.</span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: Arial,sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: medium;">Fill the jug up with hot water and mix the honey until it has dissolved.</span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: Arial,sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: medium;">Into the microwaved flour and seed mixture add about 5 seconds worth of extra virgin olive oil, a good amount, and cover with some of the flour.</span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: Arial,sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: medium;">Now add a bit of the water and adding a bit at a time start to really mix the flour and seed mixture.</span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: Arial,sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: medium;">This takes time but ultimately we want a mixture that is like a good malleable dough. Easy to pick up as one and NOT WET OR STICKY.</span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: Arial,sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: medium;">Once you have this desired consistency, cover the bowl with cling film and set aside in some warmth (I use the sunshine coming through the kitchen window – it costs nothing) for about 60 – 90 minutes. The mixture should have risen !!! It doesn&#8217;t always, so don&#8217;t worry.</span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: Arial,sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: medium;">Then dust a surface with some nice flour of some sort. This is just so that when you are kneading the bread it does not stick to the surface.</span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: Arial,sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: medium;">I use Oatbran, which is cheap and yet another fantastic thing to be eating. The way I knead the mixture it ends up covering the whole loaf and when then baked, tastes and looks delicious.</span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: Arial,sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: medium;">Peel the mixture onto the dusted surface and cut into 4 equal  pieces.</span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: Arial,sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: medium;">Knead briefly each one (literally 2 minutes each) and place into individual loaf tins that you have previously smeared with olive oil so that the loaves won&#8217;t stick.</span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: Arial,sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: medium;">Cover these tins containing the loaves with cling film again and set aside for about an hour – again they should rise !!!</span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: Arial,sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: medium;">Preheat an oven to 180°C, remove cling film (obviously) and bake for 25 – 30 minutes. </span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: Arial,sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: medium;"><strong><br />
THE RESULT</strong></span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: Arial,sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: medium;"><strong><a href="http://allbellspalsy.info/wp-content/uploads/2010/05/DSCF1250.jpg"><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-305" title="Bells Palsy Bread" src="http://allbellspalsy.info/wp-content/uploads/2010/05/DSCF1250.jpg" alt="Bells Palsy SSS Bread (Superseeded, Superfibrous, Supertasty)" width="355" height="266" /></a></strong></span></span></p>
<p><!-- 		@page { margin: 2cm } 		P { margin-bottom: 0.21cm } --><span style="font-family: Arial,sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: medium;">They don&#8217;t come out of the oven buttered, but it is never long before they are.</span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: Arial,sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: medium;">As I said before I think they have to be toasted, but see for yourself. However you eat them, you can be sure that you are doing yourself a lot of good and that you will NEVER find anything as good in the shops.</span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: Arial,sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: medium;">Enjoy (hopefully) !!!</span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: Arial,sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: medium;">UPDATE !!! I have now scrapped using yeast altogether, not only are they healthier, they still come out the SAME SIZE !!!<br />

<p><span style="font-family: Arial,sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: medium;">It is a good daily habit to get into for all of these reasons.</span></span></p>

<p><span style="font-family: Arial,sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: medium;">Bell&#8217;s Palsy is the paralysis of the facial muscles caused by damage or constriction of the facial nerve (the 7th Cranial nerve) resulting in facial palsy to one side of the face (in 1% of cases this can occur on both sides of the face: Bilateral Bell&#8217;s Palsy).</span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: Arial,sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: medium;">Here is a comprehensive list of the most common physical Bell&#8217;s Palsy symptoms. This is not an exhaustible list and a Bell&#8217;s Palsy sufferer may or may not get some or all of them.</span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: Arial,sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: medium;">Certainly, when under the stress of getting acquainted with having facial paralysis, just knowing that a symptom is &#8220;possible&#8221;, that it has happened to others and is therefore nothing to worry about, is, in itself, extremely helpful.</span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: Arial,sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: medium;">It is most definitely useful for the friends and family of the Bell&#8217;s Palsy sufferer to be aware of this list, so that they can more immediately understand what the person with Bell&#8217;s Palsy is actually going through and can remind them that the latest “panic” is actually on this list and is therefore something that is “normal”.</span></span></p>
<h1><span style="font-family: Arial,sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: medium;">The real symptoms of Bell’s Palsy &#8211; A comprehensive guide<br />
</span></span></h1>
<ul>
<li><span style="font-family: Arial,sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: medium;">Facial muscle paralysis or a weakness of the facial muscles giving an overall lop-sided appearance to facial expression. Bilateral Bell&#8217;s Palsy (a rare occurrence in approximately 1% of cases) produces a face with no expression whatsoever.<br />
</span></span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: Arial,sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: medium;">The facial skin loses any wrinkling (it is an ironically pleasing experience as they return)</span></span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: Arial,sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: medium;">Difficulty closing the eye on the affected side. </span></span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: Arial,sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: medium;">A extremely dry eye or an excessively watery eye as Bell&#8217;s Palsy affects both tear gland and tear duct function.</span></span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: Arial,sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: medium;">A pronounced &#8220;open&#8221; eye on the affected side due to the inability of the Orbicularis Oculi muscle (the muscle surrounding the eye socket) to keep the lower eyelid in its normal place. This makes the surface of the eye dangerously exposed to likes of dust and debris and this must be protected against.</span></span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: Arial,sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: medium;">&#8220;Bell&#8217;s Phenomenon&#8221; is a common Bell&#8217;s Palsy symptom. When attempting to close your eyelids the &#8220;eyeball&#8221; on the affected side will disappear upwards behind the affected eyelid. This is not really noticeable to the owner of the eye, but is very noticeable to a person watching your affected eye. It is not something to be worried about at all. Although there is no medically scientific reason why this should happen, it is an extremely helpful symptom because it helps protect the affected eye whilst your eyelid cannot. This symptom will go along with the others in the course of time.<br />
</span></span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: Arial,sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: medium;">A slight sensitivity to light most probably due to the fact that you cannot close one of your eyes completely.</span></span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: Arial,sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: medium;">Crocodile tears. Tears that appear when eating or when you are about to eat. These are not usually problematic, just &#8220;odd&#8221;. They are a sign of recovery, but if a person does not get them, they are still recovering.</span></span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: Arial,sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: medium;">Painful teeth (unlike toothache more as if the teeth on the affected side of your face have been frozen into one block. This can pass within a few days and again, is odd, rather than actually painful)</span></span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: Arial,sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: medium;">A runny or blocked nose. </span></span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: Arial,sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: medium;">A noticeable difference in the way the person with Bell&#8217;s Palsy speaks, due to the paralysis of the Orbicularis Oris (the facial muscle that surrounds the mouth) in conjunction with various other facial muscles, that allow us to move our lips.<br />
</span></span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: Arial,sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: medium;">A noticeable difference in the ease with which the person with Bell&#8217;s Palsy can eat and drink (they can eat and drink but it is very different and leads to a great deal of embarrassment and is very upsetting, especially at first)</span></span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: Arial,sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: medium;">Hyperacusis &#8211; A pronounced sensitivity to sound in the ear on the affected side.<br />
</span></span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: Arial,sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: medium;">A feeling that the ear on the affected side is intermittently blocked (as if having partial deafness) upon facial movement when facial movement starts to return.</span></span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: Arial,sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: medium;">Pain around the area of, or in, the ear of the paralysed side of the face.<br />
</span></span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: Arial,sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: medium;">A noticeable difficulty (impossible with bilateral Bell&#8217;s Palsy) to close the lips properly.</span></span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: Arial,sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: medium;">A     drooping bottom lip (especially in Bilateral Palsy)</span></span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: Arial,sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: medium;">A constant thirst or an overactive saliva gland causing dribbling (This is again very embarrassing and can thus affect mood) </span></span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: Arial,sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: medium;">Whistling is an impossibility without manual manipulation to hold the lips in their proper place.<br />
</span></span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: Arial,sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: medium;">Facial swelling, or at least the feeling that your face, or parts of it, are swollen.</span></span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: Arial,sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: medium;">The loss of, or reduction in, taste in the anterior (front) 2/3&#8217;s of tongue, relating to the perception of saltiness and sweetness.<br />
</span></span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: Arial,sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: medium;">Eyebrows cannot be raised together equally, or individually on the paralysed side of the face.</span></span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: Arial,sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: medium;">Major distortions of the face when expressions are attempted, when speaking and when eating.</span></span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: Arial,sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: medium;">Minor (but stressful at the time) feelings of unsteadiness, or hyper- vigilance. These can occur purely due to the stress or fear of this or any scary situation.<br />
</span></span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: Arial,sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: medium;">Chronic tiredness as would be associated with having a virus (this will go incrementally with rest)</span></span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: Arial,sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: medium;">As recovery begins, a tingle, mild pain or twitch may be noticed in the area where the facial nerve ending has begun to receive a signal. As a warning, these feelings may appear and then disappear which is extremely upsetting (they usually always return, at which point they are nearly always stronger).<strong> </strong>A fresh &#8220;Twitch&#8221; is an extremely encouraging and mood enhancing experience to the Bell&#8217;s Palsy recoverer. <strong><br />

<p><span style="font-size: medium;"><span style="font-family: Arial,sans-serif;">Recovery from Bell&#8217;s Palsy can take up to 3 months in the majority of cases (50-60%) and within 6 months 80% of people have experienced a complete recovery. Sometimes it can take longer, but healing continues long after the 6 months stage and can even be restarted or boosted many years afterwards with the help of facial exercises, facial retraining or electrical stimulation treatment.<br />

<ul>
<li><span style="font-family: Arial,sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: medium;"><em>Pre 	heat an available oven to somewhere around 180°C (350F)(Gas Mark 4)<br />
</em></span></span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: Arial,sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: medium;"><em>Par boil (10 mins) or microwave (7-10 mins in a few drops of water) a ton, or thereabouts, of cauliflower and broccoli, whilst lightly frying a chopped mountain of white onions in a decent amount olive oil.</em></span></span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: Arial,sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: medium;"><em>Wash 	an oven dish.</em></span></span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: Arial,sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: medium;"><em>Throw half the onions into it and place the drained cauliflower on top of the onions, then creatively throw the rest of the onions of top of the cauliflower.</em></span></span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: Arial,sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: medium;"><em>Roughly chop a huge bunch of spring onions, at least one of each colour of bell pepper and some red onions and scatter the lot on top.</em></span></span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: Arial,sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: medium;"><em>Pour 	a jar of white sauce of some description over everything.</em></span></span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: Arial,sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: medium;"><em>Grate a good, yet sensibly priced, mature block of cheese and spread over the whole mixture.</em></span></span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: Arial,sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: medium;"><em>Top the cheese with mixed hot chilli flakes, mixed ground peppers and a sensible amount of cayenne pepper, depending on what mood you are in and the weather.</em></span></span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: Arial,sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: medium;"><em>Cover with aluminium foil and place wherever it will fit in the preheated oven.</em></span></span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: Arial,sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: medium;"><em>After 	about 20 minutes or so, remove the foil for 10 minutes.</em></span></span></li>
</ul>
<p><span style="font-family: Arial,sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: medium;">Then remove from the oven, smell heartily, show off to guests and eat, with a deliciously large helping of meat of some description, obviously cooked around the same time. (Even great on its own !!!)</span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: Arial,sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: medium;">You now have, in the space of 40 minutes maximum, at least 12 fantastic ingredients (not counting the sauce) all in one quick and beautifully nutritious meal. I would have put a picture here, but I have eaten it all, it is that good !!!</span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: Arial,sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: medium;">If you have any left, just refrigerate and it is good for at least a couple of days. </span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: Arial,sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: medium;">Just slice yourself a portion and reheat in the microwave. You then have a 5 minute meal containing 12 wonderful ingredients !!!</span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: Arial,sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: medium;">Can it get any better? </span></span></p>

<p lang="en"><span style="font-family: Arial,sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: medium;">He says &#8220;It was hard to come to terms with and to understand why. I found it was easy to get into the &#8216;why me?&#8217; syndrome. Partly because of the disability, it was more not being able to eat properly ,or not being able to sleep without putting a patch on your eye because your eye wouldn&#8217;t close and things like that. The effect that it has on your everyday life was the hardest thing, but in comparison to Rick Allen (fellow band member who had his arm amputated), it was a very minor debilitating disease.&#8221; </span></span></p>
<p lang="en"><span style="font-family: Arial,sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: medium;"> He concluded &#8220;I would rather have not got the disease, but I did and you make the best of what you’ve got.&#8221;</span></span></p>

</ul>
<p><span style="font-family: Arial,sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: x-large;"><strong><span style="font-size: large;">IMPORTANT WAYS TO WARM UP BEFORE ANY FACIAL EXERCISES</span> </strong></span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: Arial,sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: large;"><strong>Water, moisture, heat and massage</strong></span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: medium;"><span style="font-family: Arial,sans-serif;"><strong>W</strong></span><span style="font-family: Arial,sans-serif;">ater is very important. Before facial exercising drink some water. This may sound odd but you will find that your face is far more moveable when you are properly hydrated.</span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: Arial,sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: medium;">Splash or wipe your face with some water before you exercise it. Again, you will find that it will move better and easier.</span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: Arial,sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: medium;">These are good tips when you arise in the morning and during and after any type of exercise when, at both those times, your facial movements may not feel as fluid as normal. Before you panic that things are going wrong (as I did) try these water techniques and see yourself improve.</span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: Arial,sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: medium;">You will also notice that your face is definitely tighter when you are cold or when you are stressed. Remember this before you get worried something is going wrong.</span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: Arial,sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: medium;">Applying heat to your face before exercise is of great benefit. You can heat up a bag of uncooked dry rice in the microwave (a very short heating time, just check every 20 seconds or so until it is warm enough – NOT HOT) this provides malleable heat for the different parts of your face and stays warm for a long time.</span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: Arial,sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: medium;">Gently massage your face before any facial exercises. Just as with any other muscle, it is essential that you warm it up first. Massage with your fingers flat against you skin, in gentle circular movements.</span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: Arial,sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: medium;">Very gently, tap with the tips of your fingers, underneath you eye on the soft part (the bit we usually refer to as the “bags”) and tentatively go around the shape of the eye over the eyebrows and back around to the start.</span></span></p>
